Chairman’s review

“It is heartwarming to report on the work done by the Trust thus far. The Trust has faced many challenges, one of them being a lack of confidence in its ability to deliver meaningful development. Jagersfontein is a poor community in which – as in many others — people have lost hope that they will ever be able to improve their lives, and view any attempt at addressing developmental challenges with skepticism.

We would like to believe that the work done by the Trust thus far has restored the hope of many people in Jagersfontein, and we see this as a beginning to a rewarding end. It is our belief that the major and infinite resource for development lies within the people themselves. All the Trust can do is to unlock those inner resources; the rest is up to the people themselves.”
